Yes, it’s another odd name for some new Internet technology. This one’s interesting in that it tracks members of groups. It’s like a big map where you can stick a pin to say where you’re from. And it uses Google’s cool mapping technologies to make it easy and interesting to use.

I’ve created one called Blogging Librarians. If you’re a librarian and you blog, please click the link and add yourself to the map. Once you’re at the site, all you have to do is click “Add Yourself” (or scroll down) and put in some basic information, like Name (doesn’t have to be legal name), Zip Code (for placement on the map), and a comment (or “ShoutOut”). It’s that easy.
