Recently, reading a post on a library-related blog called ::schwagbag::, I discovered a free program that collects all kinds of stats on your blog. I suppose it might be good for other sites, but the primary focus is blogs. I highly recommend this tool for anyone who’s serious about blogging and tracking visitors.

Performancing Metrics is a free professional grade blog statistics service aimed at professional bloggers:

  • All the information bloggers need
  • Track mutiple blogs with one user account
  • Ideal for high traffic blogs and blog networks
  • RSS 2.0 feeds - get your stats in your news reader
  • It’s completely FREE!

Visit Performancing Metrics to sign up for a free account. Then add blogs to your account. That process is as simple as filling in a couple of blanks and copying some code to paste into the footer of main blog page. Then you visit your “My Metrics” dashboard to see the stats of your visitors, updated hourly.

They also have stats about the search engines people used to get to your blog, AdSense data, and much more is coming. Technically, they’re still in “beta” version, but it’s already becoming a popular program. And it’s easy to see why. It’s free, easy to use, offers an intuitive interface, and provides quite a lot of data. Check it out!
