Band Sells Blank Discs

Here’s a new marketing approach that takes advantage of writeable media formats. The Residents, a band with a cult following, had their CD released by Cordless (Warner Music Group’s “e-label”) a couple of weeks ago. Nothing really unique about that. Except that the contents are missing.

UNESCO World Heritage List

The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has identified 582 World Heritage sites that it considers of “outstanding universal value.” The World Heritage List includes 812 properties forming part of the cultural and natural heritage which the World Heritage Committee considers as having outstanding universal value. If Amazon were Innovative

Granted, it’s based on an old version of the Innovative Interfaces interface, but it’s still good for a laugh. And also demonstrates the need for libraries and library services to be more “innovative” if they want to be popular like Amazon.
