Citizendium
The Chronicle of Higher Education just posted an article about a new scholarly version of Wikipedia that’s coming out soon. It’s called Citizendium, is being started by one of the co-founders of Wikipedia, and the biggest difference between it and Wikipedia is that it will be “responsibly managed” by having academic editors guiding each entry.
