Unscramble
Posted by pfitz under Technology
Here’s another great website that can be very useful for paper-writers and puzzle-solvers alike. It’s called Unscramble.net and it does just what it sounds like. Here are some of the things you can do with it:
- Look up words in a dictionary and get not just definitions but also synonyms and hypernyms
- Find words with given letters from the beginning, middle, or end of the word
- Scramble the letters your provide to give you a list of anagrams (complete with dictionary links)
- Find words that rhyme (or course I had to try ‘orange’ and it didn’t have any)
- Find words with the Crossword Finder, where you enter a ? for every letter you don’t know
Pretty handy for a variety of word-related needs! Definitely worth bookmarking.
