Here’s a great article from Wired Magazine (online). The writer chronicles his test of using ONLY Google applications for all office functions (email, calendar, docs, spreadsheets, IM, RSS, notebook, etc.). The point was not only to see how good Google’s products had become, but also to test whether an office could work well using only those apps. Part of that second element was to evaluate people’s readiness for the “web-based desktop.”
